With a 3-pass blackout lining and an outside-mount that overlaps the reveal, yes — close to full darkness. Inside-mounted, expect light down both edges.
How wide can one roman blind be?
About 2.4 metres. Beyond that the rod at the back flexes and the folds stop stacking evenly, so we split the window into two blinds that meet in the middle.
Can roman blinds be cleaned?
Dry clean or spot clean. They cannot go in a washing machine because the fabric is stitched to internal rod pockets that must stay straight.
