Frequently asked questions
Are eyelet curtains suitable for blackout?
They block light well across the fabric, but the gap between the rod and the wall lets a strip of light in at the top. For a truly dark bedroom we recommend a track with a wall return instead.
Can eyelet curtains be motorised?
Not on a rod. Motorisation needs a track, so the curtain has to be re-headed to wave or pleat tape first.
How many eyelets per curtain?
An even number, so both leading edges turn toward the room. Spacing is normally 16–18cm, which we work out from the finished width.
