Rubber & Gym Flooring in Qatar

Rubber flooring absorbs impact, protects the slab and deadens noise. In Qatar it costs about QAR 85–260 per square metre installed, in interlocking tiles or rolls from 6mm for a home gym up to 50mm for a free-weight or drop zone.

Rubber gym flooring tiles installed in a Doha fitness room

Rubber is specified by what lands on it. A treadmill room needs 8–10mm; a free-weight area where loaded bars get dropped needs 40–50mm or the slab underneath eventually cracks.

We fit tiles where a room may be reconfigured and rolls where a seamless surface matters, and we can bring in coloured EPDM fleck to match a gym's branding.

Frequently asked questions

What thickness do I need for free weights?

40mm minimum, 50mm if athletes drop loaded bars from the hip. Anything thinner transmits the impact straight into the slab.

Tiles or rolls?

Tiles if the layout may change or the room is awkward to get material into. Rolls for a seamless finish in a large open gym floor.

Does rubber flooring smell?

New SBR rubber has an odour for the first week or two. Ventilate the room, and it fades. EPDM has far less smell if that matters in a home gym.
