Vinyl is the pragmatic choice: a rental you want to hand back clean, a clinic that has to be mopped daily, a shop fit-out on a two-week programme. It goes down fast, costs the least per square metre, and modern LVT prints are far better than the vinyl people remember.

Frequently asked questions
Vinyl or SPC?
SPC if you are staying and want it to feel solid; vinyl if the priority is cost, speed or a seamless hygienic surface. SPC floats, vinyl glues down.
Does vinyl need a perfectly flat subfloor?
More than SPC does — because it is thin and glued, every ridge telegraphs through. We skim and level first where needed.
Can vinyl go in a bathroom?
Sheet vinyl, yes, with welded seams and coved edges. LVT planks are fine in a guest WC but we prefer welded sheet where there is a shower.
